To drive commercially in the UK and Europe you require the correct licence at Hunts Training Services we can help you achieve this. If you are looking to drive a 7.5 tonne (LGV C1) or over 7.5 tonne (LGV C) all the way to an Articulated/Drag (LGV CE) we can help.

Depending on the provisional licences that you hold will depend on the LGV training route you will need to take, you may need to apply for a specific provisional entitlement and Hunts Training Services have the correct documents that will allow you to do so, we can even help with those expensive medical costs.

So what do you need to complete to be a LGV driver?

Module 1a LGV Multiple Choice : (85 correct answers out of 100 questions)

Module 1b LGV Hazard Perception : (67 points out of 100)

Module 2 LGV Driver CPC Case Studies : (40 points out 50)

Module 3 LGV Practical Test : (1.5 hour driving test)

Module 4 Practical LGV Safety Demonstration : (80% with a minimum of 20% in one section)

Periodic CPC Training, as a profession driver you will need to complete 35 hours of training within a 5 year period. We are currently developing our driver essentials 2 or 3 day course, this is aimed at LGV drivers who have just passed there test and have little commercial experience and drivers who have left the industry and are looking to refresh there working knowledge, the 2 or 3 day course will include the basics that all professional driver need in there tool box of skills. These include.

A working knowledge of Drivers Hours and Tachographs - Safe Loading and Unloading of Vehicles - Drivers Health and Safety - Using Mechanical Aids - Safe and Fuel Efficient Driving Technics

These courses will be both practical and classroom based.
